Tonight

This evening around 6:00 the great Wylie sky began to darken...the winds picked up...the rain began to fall...then our power went out. ;)

Some might hear this sad tale and not wish it on their worst enemy - however us kids have always had this wonder at power outages. There's always been adventure in it for us.
Visit Pizza's blog for a full story. It was great.

Much. :-)
I love power outages. I remember one time years ago when we got to eat an entire meal by candlelight during a storm. It was magical.

Something about it being dark just makes me want to get a flashlight and read, even if I was previously too tired to tread.

Ohhh, did your power ever come back on or are you just turning the giant crank on the side of your computer? ^_^

you wouldn't believe the collection we have of circa 1900 computers, they all have hand cranks---

I love storms and rains and hailstorms and tornadoes and hurricanes. Me and my mom especially like to sit on the port and just watch the storm with or without power. There is something 'spiritual' about it I think. It makes you feel something inside long hidden by feeling and thoughts.

There are two mistakes in that comment.
1. porch not port
2. feelings not feeling
